Here, we enjoy ‘the best of both worlds.’ We live on an idyllic horse ranch situated just 25kms from Victoria Falls - close enough for guests to explore all that our beautiful destination has to offer, yet far enough to offer a sanctuary for nature-lovers and those seeking a quiet place to unwind and reconnect - river watch, horse ride, practice yoga or just enjoy our magnificent birdlife and warm Zambian hospitality in the sunshine.

We are dedicated to three activities: the hosting of guests at Chundu Cottage and our boutique hotel, Chundukwa River Lodge; working hand-in-hand with our community to promote sustainable living practices; and the running of our stables at home and at our sister operation Zambian Horseback Safaris in the Simalaha Wildlife Conservancy.

Guests at Chundu Cottage may enjoy open access to our horse ranch and Zambezi Riverfront. You’re free to explore and discover!

Enjoy our mountain bike and hiking trails with our guide, visit our stables - home to approximately 60 horses, a pair of Brahman bull, goats, sheep, donkeys and more! Soak up the Zambian sunshine and enjoy the epic birdlife in our gardens. Sit back, relax and breathe in the splendour of nature. Chundu Cottage sits on the Zambezi Riverbank and the property also has a series of natural ponds and waterways, home to a remarkable diversity of plant and birdlife. This indigenous oasis that is home to the elusive cape clawless otters who have made a safe home here. At certain times of the year, wild visitors such as elephant are also spotted enjoying the garden! Hippo are active on the property late at night.
